UPS Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of TUNL's shipping platform. By engaging with our services, you accept and agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully.

Billing and Payment:

- Invoicing will be created for each shipment booked.

- Payment is due within 15 days from the invoice date. Statements will be sent bi-weekly.

- TUNL reserves the right to pause or terminate services if payment is not received promptly.

- No settlement discounts will be granted

- Interest on overdue accounts will be charged at prime + 2%

We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these payment terms, which contribute to the fairness and consistency of our billing practices. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.

Penalties for inaccurate dimensions and/or weight:

- Measurements provided by the carriers scanners will be compared to what is input on our system.

- TUNL will bill the merchant for any inaccuracies in weight and dimensions.

- TUNL will charge an additional "administration" fee of R50.00 for each instance.

- Should the merchant wish to dispute this, photographic proof of accurate measurements and weight will need to be provided.

- Keeping evidence of parcel dimensions and weight is the responsibility of the merchant.

Parcel Tracking:

- TUNL offers comprehensive door-to-door tracking for all shipments.

- Your customers will receive tracking updates via email and can also access tracking information using the provided webstore link.

Insurance Options:

- Shipment Protection is available at an additional cost through our platform.

- TUNL is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of parcels that are not insured through our service.

Booking and Labelling:

- Accuracy in information input is the sender/merchant's responsibility. TUNL is not liable for inaccuracies. TUNL does not check this information and any delays, returns or fines that might occur due to inaccurate information is the responsibility of the sender and will be for their account.

- Labels should be printed on A5 adhesive label paper and affixed to the parcel OR printed on normal paper and placed in a clear waybill sleeve. Commercial invoices should also be printed and added.

- Additional fees may apply for incorrect address, weight, dimensions, missing labels, or inadequate packaging.

Cancelling Shipments

- Any incorrect shipment must be cancelled within 30 days of creation.

- Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in still being charged, as TUNL will be billed for these shipments according to our service provider's policy.

- It is the responsibility of the merchant to regularly review and cancel any incorrect shipments.

- Shipments that are already in transit or delivered cannot be cancelled.

Duties, Fees and Taxes

TUNL partners with Zonos for enhanced cross-border capabilities. When booking shipments, Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) via the TUNL platform, you agree to Zonos' terms of service.

TUNL Economy Service Overview:

Economy Collection and Drop Off:

- Collections are not managed by TUNL. Merchants arrange parcel delivery or drop off parcels at our Cape Town Warehouse.

Economy - Delivery Timing:

- TUNL aims for 10 to 14-day delivery in the US. Economy service may take up to 20 working days.

Economy - VAT, Duties, and Customs:

- No customs clearing fees on arrival to the US for Economy service.

Economy - Tax and Compliance:

- Export documentation is provided for SARS compliance.

Customer Support via "UPS My Choice":

- Your customer can manage delivery preferences through UPS My Choice.

Cut-off for Economy Shipments:

- Weekly shipments received by Tuesday close-of-business will be consolidated that week.

Economy - Prohibited and restricted items:

Economy - General Terms:

- Individual parcels: max $800 value, max 30kg.

- Parcels must be properly packaged with final mile labels.

- Shipping exclusions: no consumables, alcohol, tobacco, etc.

- TUNL reserves the right to pause or discontinue services with a month's notice.

Right to Inspect Goods

1. TUNL (Pty) Ltd's Right to Inspect

TUNL (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to inspect any shipment at any point during the transportation process. This inspection may be conducted to verify the contents, condition, and compliance with shipping documentation and regulations. TUNL (Pty) Ltd shall inform the Consignee and Shipper of any findings resulting from such inspections.

2. Care and Repackaging

TUNL (Pty) Ltd will inspect shipments with the utmost care and will repackage them as best as possible to their original condition after inspection. Every effort will be made to ensure that the integrity of the Goods is maintained during this process.

3. Limitation of Liability

TUNL (Pty) Ltd's liability for any defective or non-conforming Goods shall be limited to the remedies set forth in this section. TUNL (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to the inspection, acceptance, or use of the Goods.

4. Governing Law

This Right to Inspect Goods clause shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the South African Civil Aviation Authority.
